Students can apply for international funding, including the Candy Wei International Travel Award, through M-Compass. Deadlines: November 15 (for Winter semester travel), January 15 (for faculty-led Spring-Summer courses or GIEU) and March 15 (for Spring, Summer or Fall semester travel).

Review criteria include demonstrated financial need, previous international travel experience, program sponsorship (Stamps, other UM, or non-UM), geographic location of program, academic success, commitment to Stamps community and other factors. The amount of available funding is limited; priority given to students who demonstrate financial need, have limited international travel experience and who are enrolled in a Stamps-sponsored international program.

Each year, applications are solicited through email sent by the Associate Dean of Academic Programs. Submissions are reviewed by a faculty committee, and winners are announced at the spring commencement ceremony.
